Student is able to perform full body care in bed. The skin is an organ that gets polluted very quickly by oil, sweat, dead epidermis cells, dust from the environment, organic and inorganic substances. Leather cleaning is provided with a bath. A bath is necessary for the whole body of a bedridden individual. The student should get the opinions of the individual about the materials to be used, the temperature of the water, and the time of the bath.

The skill of obtaining informed consent from patients is an essential element of contemporary approach in medicine - patient centred care. By practising this skill students significantly increase the odds of empowering patients in their decision making and taking care of their own health by sharing the responsibility, providing information and choice. Giving time, showing competence by provision of necessary information, showing empathy, having good communication skills and understanding the need for a patient to be an equal partner in their health decisions are core elements of the skill of obtaining informed consent. 

The skill of learning the current health complaints and needs of a patient is crucial to determine whether any physiotherapeutic intervention is needed and what should be the following steps. This skill relies heavily on students' communication skills, cognitive skills and emotional intelligence. This skill presumes students ask targeted questions, use active listening and gives space for patients to formulate and reveal the information.

Identification of contraindications for physiotherapeutic assessment procedure or specific assessment methods is crucial for patient safety and wellbeing. Identification of contraindications is based on knowledge about:

• Normal and pathological physiology of various human organ systems,
• Mechanisms of various assessment methods and their impact on human body, 
• Red flags, signs of critical health conditions and risk factors
• Absolute and relative contraindications for physical effort and other modes of body function assessment
• Cognitive and emotion state, their impact on person's functioning

Identification of contraindications is a skill of merging knowledge with awareness and observation skills.

Ability to collect necessary information about patient condition from medical records and other health care specialists directly related to care for particular patient to be able to efficiently hypothesize the cause of patients condition, perform the assessment and provide the appropriate care.

Student is able to plan the necessary physiotherapeutic actions to be taken in the most efficient order to execute optimal assessment of the persons health status, level of functioning and needs, that would result in complete understanding of the patients problem. 

Ability to know and evaluate proprioception
