The ABC technique (or system, model) is a rational cognitive-behavioral approach - the technique of the emotional behavior method - it is an intervention technique to support and promote clients' problem-solving skills. Attention is paid to those elements of behavior and thinking that are not effective in family relationships, daily habits. Clients are encouraged to evaluate the quality of their thoughts in terms of their frequency and impact on feelings, thus revealing to the client the causal links of the problem.
