Attention is paid to those elements of behavior and thinking that are not effective in family relationships, daily habits. Description | The student is able to identify and describe the ABC technique (or system, model) of rational-emotional behavior of the cognitive-behavioral theory at the theoretical level. ABC is an intervention technique to support and enhance clients' problem-solving skills. Attention is paid to those elements of behavior and thinking that are not effective in family relationships, daily habits. Clients are encouraged to evaluate the quality of their thoughts in terms of their frequency and impact on feelings, thus revealing to the client the causal links of the problem. At this level, the student is also able to name the ABC technique in the possible additional components of the model, namely, D (possible solutions) and E (homework). |
